Just before I started to write this, iTunes started playing Janet Jackson’s ‘What Have You Done For Me Lately?’, which seemed an appropriate reproach to a neglected website – but neglected for, I hope, decent reasons.
The first reason is this. My book, Second-Hand Stories, came out a fortnight ago and most of the year – when I haven’t been working at Spear’s or writing for Tatler or at the opera or on Twitter or baking or eating or dancing or drinking – has been spent giving the manuscript a final edit (three, in fact), shooting the cover, arranging the launch party and promoting it.
Radio 4’s Open Book, hosted by Mariella Frostrup, kindly had me on to talk about Second-Hand Stories, and you can hear me here from around ten minutes in. There’s plenty more on my book here under the Second-Hand Stories tag.
If you feel the burning need to keep up with my gallivanting (and who could blame you?), best to find me @joshspero.
